iTek People Inc. has an opening for the position of Technical Project Manager (Ref# TPM711VD) to work in Austin, TX and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Travel and/or relocation required. Job Duties: Plan, manage, schedule, monitor, and provide technical direction for various IT projects. Accountable for end-to-end project deliveries from requirements elicitation to production deployment. Responsible for project effort, cost estimation, and tracking project metrics and/or goals. Elicit, analyze, and validate business requirements by working with key stakeholders. Gather requirements using brainstorming sessions and deliver the best possible design approach. Prepare system requirement document and conduct requirement and system design walkthrough to receive inputs from various business and IT users. Create the as-is and to-be business process flows, use case diagrams, data flow diagrams, recommendation documents, user manuals, and business cases. Responsible for application development for batch applications. Create and validate the database design, creation of database, and file analysis to interpret business logic. Perform impact analysis and system study based on user requirements. Perform functional system analysis and prepare design and technical specifications for enhancement to create/modify programs based on the business requirement documents. Involved in user acceptant testing (UAT) planning by preparing test strategy, test conditions, test scripts, and test execution. Responsible for change management and release management for timely resolution of tickets. Prioritize, estimate, track, and resolve tasks, work requests, and other maintenance activities. Work closely with various business users to troubleshoot system issues through direct consultation. Provide application and technical support to project/account. Design and develop regular business reports. Identify, recommend, evaluate, and implement new opportunities, process improvements, or integrations that will enhance existing systems or provide needed end user functionality. Use of COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS DB/DC, FOCUS, COBOL/400, CL, RPG, Java, Spring Boot, Webservices, Jenkins, Jira, SQL, and Windows. Requirements: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Software Engineer, Technology Analyst, Technology Lead, or related experience. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 2 years of experience with COBOL, DB2, SQL, COBOL/400, CL, RPG, Java, Spring Boot, and Webservices. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.
